Wall calendar, 329 x 483 mmMaking do with whatever at hand – including found objects, sand, rubber, cotton wool, clay blocks, cement casts of household items and edibles, as well as the debris from the casting process, child-proof padding, and emergency blankets – I create a series of wall and spatial drawings. The documentation of spatial bricolage, originating in the 2010s, is now overlaid with the first crayon and marker strokes of one of my dearest loved ones, two-year-old Foivos. The drawings are compiled into a wall calendar that extends the inflicted harms of Israel’s government genocidal war in Gaza over the past year into 2025, accompanied by the prompt: “Tear down the walls”.
